Periodically, there are requests on PRSPCT-L for information about listservs and professional associations. Starting with listservs this month, I will attempt to provide links to our old standards and to encourage us to broaden our horizons with new connections. Next month, on to professional groups of interest! If you have some ideas for other links to add to this list, send ’em in to chrismildner @ yahoo.com. CONTENTS: FUNDRAISING COLLEAGUE LISTSERVS & DISCUSSION FORUMS Here’s an extensive list (so why bother with other lists?) of U.S., Canadian and United Kingdom listservs and discussion forums covering many aspects of development work. Gary Cole, of Fundraising Colleague, maintains this list and a bunch of other helpful development information and links. http://www.fundraisingcolleague.com/gmlists.htm New librarians enjoy this unmoderated list for idea exchange and discussion. Why shouldn’t we? http://www.lahacal.org/newlib/ If your duties include records and/or electronics records management, here are two listservs you might find helpful. http://www.arma.org/resources/listserv.cfm
