Although long, this is a really interesting article that explores Asian attitudes toward giving and how these are changing as they assimilate into mainstream American culture. http://www.cof.org/files/Documents/Publications/Cultures_of_Caring/asianamerican.pdf
Mongobay.com breaks down the highest and lowest salaries and taxes paid in the U.S. by zip code. Or scroll down a little further on the page and get lists of affluent zip codes by state. The lists give the number of tax returns in the zip code, and the income, adjusted gross income, salary and taxes paid per return -- handy for mining your database or for annual fund, planned giving and other targeted mailings. Thank you to freelance researcher Maryrose Larkin for submitting this site. Maryrose Larkin has started a blog for beginning researchers. The focus is primarily on Oregon and Washington, her home stomping grounds, but there will be information that is helpful in general. One thing, ignore the date of 2019 in the blog archive . . . it's just there to overcome a technical quirk. http://northwestresearchresources.blogspot.com/
