Recently, I researched some venture capitalists (VCs). I was a bit rusty since the last one I researched was about four years ago. Anyway, I brushed up on the VC market and found some interesting Web sites. This month, we've got VC lists. Next month, you'll get the VC nitty-gritty, here's-how-it-happens Web sites.

The directory is provided by the Smart Startup. The list provides only company names, which link to the company Web sites, and the state(s) in which each firm operates.

Entrepreneur presents its 2005 top list compiled from data provided by PricewaterhouseCoopers, Thomson Venture Economics and the National Venture Capital Association.

BOOGAR LISTS

Boogar Associates compiles some great lists. OK, ignore the name -- it belongs to a real person and my mama taught me not to make fun of things like that. Anyway, next month I'm reviewing Sacred Cow Dung and we can have fun with that.

But for now, just check out Boogar's VC firm lists for the U.S., Asia, Europe and Canada. A brief paragraph describing each company is provided, along with a link to the company Web site.
