Here are more interesting and helpful Web sites developed by our peers. I am thankful to be in a profession whose members are so generous about sharing knowledge and resources! This is very Virginia-focused with a few sites for broader research use. Under genealogy, there are great links to Civil War era databases. http://www.richmond.edu/develop/research/prmain.html Independent Organizations of the University of Virginia gives us Portico, Web Resources for Advancement Professionals. This is an extremely thorough (and I mean thorough) list of links covering any category of research information you can name. It begs the question, "Why do I even have research bookmarks when I can just go here!?!" http://indorgs.virginia.edu/portico/home.html NWU offers another extremely thorough set of research links, with good descriptions of the sites. It too makes me wonder why I bother keeping bookmarks. They list some interesting sites I have not seen before that I'm itching to explore. http://pubweb.acns.nwu.edu/~cap440/
