The editors of the Internet Prospector have made the hard decision to discontinue maintaining our Secretary of State site because other sites are providing this service. Instead, we will spend our time and energy on our new site with links to state and national charities databases.

Our editors have reviewed several sites, listed below, that are doing a terrific job of finding and maintaining links to Secretary of State offices across the U.S. If we find other sites with Secretary of State links (or you can email us about sites you find) we will review and add them.

This is a quick and easy way to find U.S. Secretary of State and Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) sites. These are the only links they offer. Click on the states map or, for those smaller states hard to see on the map, the states table. Once there, links nicely divided into the Secretary of State's home page, online searches, form downloads, general info and filing. Filing is the link most often absent, as less states offer online filing.

Another quick and easy way to access Secretary of State sites is offered up by their professional organization. However, not all links go to the Secretary of State site. NASS also provides a roster with just name, address, phone, fax and e-mail.
