JUF News is Chicago's largest Jewish community news magazine. JUF News is published by the Jewish United Fund and the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago, the major instruments of Jewish philanthropy in the Chicago area. Together, they raise and allocate funds to support local, national and international services and institutions in the area of human welfare and health care, education and identity, culture and community and rescue, resettlement and care for Jews in need throughout the world. JUF News offers local and world stories as well as sections on Chicago Jewish history and an update on Israel.
Last reviewed by Internet Prospector in 2002, the Christian Science Monitor is an international daily newspaper published Monday through Friday. Founded in 1908 by Mary Baker Eddy, it is now also a multimedia Web site that provides an e-mail edition, a personal digital assistant (PDA) edition and a downloadable PDF of the print version. Islam Online strives to maintain a unique, global Islamic perspective that provides services to Muslims and non-Muslims in several languages. An editorial committee includes experts in politics, economics, the media, sociology, technology, the arts and other fields. Its goal is to expand awareness of important events in the Arab, Islamic and larger worlds. The committee also avoids ties with or speaking for any country, party, group, council or organization by maintaining a balanced approach and adopting what they describe as "the middle ground" of Islam.
