Zcast.tv calls itself "The Web's Technology News Channel" and is brought to you by Ziff Davis Media.
ZCast.tv offers news on demand by focusing on streaming media to bring you current content. Here you can view and listen (in my case, listen while I work) to the newscasters.
Like its sibling, ZDNet, Zcast.tv provides updated news, as well as a technological bent. Netizens can pick their format. Either watch, listen or read the news. Yes, you can still read the news, too.
Don't forget to check out the Archives. It seems that around four days of programming is stored at the site. Icons indicate the format of your selection. Find either text, video or audio.
The FeedRoom is a broadband news aggregator. It has created news sites for affiliates of NBC, Tribune Broadcasting, The Journal Broadcasting Group and Granite Broadcasting. Find the latest news, business, sports, weather and traffic newscasts from local station providers.
The site opens with a video feed (so be prepared). Click on the surrounding "TVs" to view a different story. There is a menu with selections like National, World, Business and so on, in the top left corner. In the bottom right corner, find Help and More Stories. This opens a map for local station choices.
This is a great site. Its plans for expansion in the broadband content provider arena are impressive. To be impressed now, visit its creation, http://cisco.feedroom.com. Prepare to be wowed.

NBC4 is the Los Angeles affiliate of NBC. It provides 24-hour access to video on demand for news, health, weather and other TV news offerings. The site also has traditional text news with top stories, sports, city guide and features. If you are in L.A., you may want to sign up for the enews to be sent to your inbox.
Paxson Communications, home of family friendly broadcasting, has videos on demand, as well as print offerings. This site has bios, bios, bios. Read about the members of the casts of its shows by clicking on Pax Stars. Similarly, click on About Pax for a great profile of Paxson and other company executives.
Heads up, health researchers. It hotlinks to Chromosome 18, a charity for those with Chromosome 18 abnormalities.
