CONGOO
A word derived from content + glue, Congoo is a real-time news, networking and information portal. Congoo merges breaking news with an industry's most important people and offers users the free opportunity to build a news circle that can be shared with a group. All it takes is choosing an interest and adding a category and selected focus areas. My test news group now gives me a quick look at breaking news about charities, international development, human rights and religion.
Congoo also offers NetPass, a free resource that allows you to search and read a limited number of stories from paid-content sites. Users are allowed free access to between four and 15 articles per month per publisher, and will be prompted to subscribe to a service once the monthly allotment of visits to a particular site is exceeded.
Freelancers will like Congoo, which offers a free method for evaluating the publications you'll need to complete a project for a client.

Hamptons Online is one of the oldest news portals representing Long Island. Founded in 1987, The New York Observer is the weekly newspaper of New York. It is published every Wednesday and gives the reader a good look at where people live and what they are doing in Manhattan.
