Al-bab.com or Arab Gateway seeks to introduce non-Arabs to Arabs and their culture. Arab Gateway is a portal that consists of links to other sites and pages on the Internet. The links are presented in an organized, structured way, which makes information easy to find.
The site began in February 1998 as Yemen Gateway. The Web address, al-bab.com, alludes to Bab al-Yemen, the famous gateway leading into the old city of Sana'a. Another fairly substantial area of al-bab.com is the Arab Media Web site. In addition to newspapers, radio and television, the Arab Media site covers cinema and the Internet, as well as issues including freedom of expression and journalistic ethics.

The countries featured on Arab Gateway do not include Israel. According to the editor, the reason is that Israel is not an Arab country, although substantial numbers of Arabs live there. The test used for the purposes of Web site content is whether or not a country is a member of the Arab League.

Established in 1961, TDN is Turkey's first and only daily news source in English or "your gateway to Turkey on the way to Europe." The archives provide articles dating back to 1996. TDN is a member of the Dogan Media Group, Turkey's leading media and entertainment conglomerate, with operations in newspaper, magazine and book publishing, television and radio broadcasting, printing and new media.

Ynetnews brings real-time news, commentary and features from Israel and the Jewish world to the Internet.
