Pandia has launched a new meta-search engine for news. The Newsfinder accesses many resources such as the Financial Times, MSNBC, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Yahoo!, CNN, BBC, Kiosken and Moreover. Search the daily news using Pandia's metasearch engine. Get today's headlines, summaries, stocks, weather and more. Along with its search capabilities, it indexes the news by regions and topics (UK Politics, Asia Pacific, Economics, Features and so on). It has Boolean search capabilities. As with some other search engines, the resulting dates that appear may not be the article date; just something to keep in mind as you review each hit. http://www.pandia.com/news/index.html Pandia is full of goodies. Try Pandia's Radio Search for audio news. From Albania to Zimbabwe, Pandia has links to the radio stations of the world. Pandia has many other search avenues to explore, such as its Plus Web Plus Web Directory, Metasearch Engine, Power Search and other resources. If you don't find what you need, it provides hot links to top Web-based resources, from news sources to other search engines. Media Central, news and info for media and marketing professionals, could be very useful for prospecting in these industries. Scroll down the page to find Top Stories, Headlines by Industry (very handy for a researcher), and Features and Commentary. It also offers links to Columns, its own Links and Affiliates. The search feature is interesting. Search using Boolean logic, sets or natural language. The help page explains all the complexities of its search capabilities. Tip: the news articles may only be available for a few weeks. Media Central's news wire service categorizes the news by industry. Click on the News tab at the top of the home page for the news wire. Scroll down the page or use the drop-down menu for news about Advertising & Promotion, Book Publishing, Internet E-Commerce, Internet: Finance & Law, Internet: Portals & Providers, Magazines, Marketing, Newspapers, Radio and Television & Cable. Nothing like news about news. http://www.mediacentral.com/newswire.html Pamela J. Smith FORWARD International RETURN Front Page
