A WORD FROM THE EDITOR
Five years have passed since
Internet Prospector launched its first issue. Developed
as a resource for prospect researchers, we have stayed true to our course
-- mining the Internet for those nuggets of gold! For our anniversary
issue, these miners have been prospecting for the most valuable search
engines for the development researcher. Looking for the mother lode, we
scoured the Web delving into new quarries and old. Each beat -- Corporations,
Foundations, People, News, International and Tools -- shine the miner's
light on general and specialty search engines. In News Online catch the

deep with an interview of a search engine collector. To put a little icing
