A WORD FROM THE EDITOR

In many fund-raising offices, summer is a time for organizing, reflecting and setting out new plans for the busy fall season that is right around the bend. And, all the while, fund-raising professionals are squeezing in a warm weather adventure or two.

This issue of Internet Prospector invites you to cruise the grocery aisles for unexpected (rich) treats, jet to far-off places to meet foundation possibilities (and maybe spot a few humpbacks), shake hands with Baltimore lawyers and Northwest CEOs, skirt the corporate world s scandalous, meet the DJs and radio and record personalities who might support your cause, and tour NGOs in the UK and India. Finally, a bit of summer reading might give you a new perspective on prospect research, show you how to see the future in financial information and help you strip that old PC of all confidential information before you deed it over to the Boys and Girls Club or the local daycare center.

Won't Autumn look all the better after a safe, productive and fun-filled summer?
