A WORD FROM THE EDITOR

Greetings from near the midpoint of the first decade of the 21st century, Readers. Our new esteemed colleague at Internet Prospector, David Clayton, begins his tenure with this issue. David is serving as the Foundations beat editor and our Cathy Hampton has moved over to the News Online desk. David is the director of Prospect Research at the Dreams Can Be Foundation in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil (go with it -- it's how Brazil is spelled in Brasil). And yes, your Internet Prospector team now dreams of holding our annual meeting at David's place. Hey, he even said we could!

David takes you "on location" this month. Our other beats will introduce you to companies supporting tsunami relief, how to get your own credit report, where to find public record databases, African American history-makers, the CEO of the year, television news resources, Illinois news, Catholic news, salaries across the globe, research resources in Ireland and Australia, a place to check e-legends, another to learn about executive compensation and one more to smarten up about other locations. Stay warm and dry as you work and don't spend too much time thinking about David researching in Rio -- we're trying not to.
