The Economist makes assessing opportunity easy with ViewsWire, its arm providing daily business intelligence about companies and executives in more than 200 countries. The home page offers access to countries by region or by country (from a drop-down box on the left side of the page). There are links to business reports organized by category (Consumer Goods, Healthcare and more) on the home page, too. If you find what you need here, you may wish to explore the subscriber services The Economist offers.
Masterseek has a lofty goal: to become the business community's "preferred company search engine and analysis tool." The site offers company profiles and product and service descriptions for 22 million companies in 75 countries. Search by company name, limiting the search to a specific country or changing the search to another language. Or users can search by type of business under the section called Business Search Engine. Profiles returned are brief but may offer you just the opening you seek.
