For those who are reticent to fish in strange seas, meeting a Web page focusing on English might help. Mizuho Financial Group created just such a page. The alpha list of Japan's public companies includes a few dead links and a few dated links, but it is an interesting way to get to the information you might be too daunted to seek. The firm also sorts companies by type to some degree and offers translation tools for when familiar waters flow into those strange seas. http://www.mizuho-sc.com/english/ebond/companies/list.html Got that? The Great Guide is an interesting way to access company contact information for those located in Chile. The directory begins with a sort by industry type. Choose a category and begin your drilling operations. You'll get information about how many links are in each group. As you continue mining, you'll begin to see the sparkling veins filled with the infobits researchers like to see - legal name, trade name, location, contact information (including calling fees) and a link to the entity's Web page. Choose PowerSearch from the left menu to search for companies by keyword. The keyword search includes a reverse directory (by telephone number) as well as by other identifiers, including Tax ID numbers. There is a free business alert service associated with La Gran Guia, too. All you have to do is register. Scoot was established by the owners of Europe 's largest online business directory. The searching twists include searches by "I need what" or "Who" and "Where." Results returned include contact information, a brief description of the company and, if there is one, a Find Out More option, which provides a link to the firm's Web site.
