THE TOP500 COMPANIES IN EUROPE
The Top500 site presents itself like the chance to build a mailing list. Visitors can view the companies by country or by industry. Profiles returned include contact information, top officers or managers, a link to the company's Web site and a few other details. There is also a handy lexicon dictionary. Be sure to check out the Useful Information link from the homepage. There you will find a link to Job Titles, with the subheading, "short cuts, full name, meaning." It is a nice little chart for those of you exploring prospects in Europe.
Deutsche Welle is Germany's international broadcaster. Pick up news from the Web site or tune into the radio or video options. News linked from the menu bar on the left side of the home page takes you to stories about Germany, Europe, the economy and lifestyle. If you have time, be sure to look into From the Fringe. Use the drop-down boxes near the top of the home page to get quick links to election news, the best blogs and other features. There is a link to the site's archives at the top of the page.
The China Stock Market site is nearly single purpose. Need stock information about Shanghai, Shenzhen or Hong Kong? This might be the place. Links take you directly to those market sites. Very limited additional resources include a link to China Investment News.
