FAST 50 UK

Deloitte makes identifying the fastest growing technology companies in the UK easy. They, in fact, do the hard work for us. Entrants are required to meet volume thresholds and to submit five year's worth of annual reports for review. Use the menu bar at the top to navigate to the fastest growing companies in your UK region of interest: Eastern, South West and Wales, Scotland, North, Midlands, Ireland, and London and South East. The Company Search feature will let you learn about winners since 1998. Use Fast Facts to examine methodology, growth rates and regional statistics. What's fast to Deloitte? How does an annual growth rate of more than 4,200 percent for the 2003 winner strike you?

RTE RADIO

Researchers working at colleges know about immersion. Students are dipped deeply into a program or field of study. Researchers with Irish prospects can immerse themselves by tuning into Radio Telefis Eireann (RTE), the Irish Public Service Broadcasting Organisation. As I moved through paper-shuffling and computer screen-squinting tasks this morning, I tuned into RTE Radio to listen to a fascinating story abut CRISPIES -- "Cash Rich Irish Seeking Property in Europe." You can listen, too, at

http://www.rte.ie/radio1/story/1014988.html

Review other stories that might be of interest to those who have Irish prospects (check out Moneymakers, for example) or listen to RTE Radio live. Morning Ireland is a good place to begin.

THE IRELAND FUNDS

As all researchers know, sometimes the path to your next major gift donor meanders through information about supporters of similar causes or missions. The Ireland Funds' mission is "to be the largest worldwide network of people of Irish ancestry and friends of Ireland dedicated to raising funds" for causes in Ireland. The network now operates in ten countries and has raised $180 million and supported more than 1,200 charities in Ireland. The Ireland Funds recently finished its five-year $100 million campaign. You can review the campaign report at

Peruse the collection of biographies and articles about Ireland Funds supporters at

http://www.irlfunds.org/news/people/index.html

Visit branches of The Ireland Fund around the world (from Who We Are on the menu bar) and you'll get a chance to see the names of individuals and boards organizing fund-raising events. For example, The Ireland Fund of Canada page lists the names of chapter chairs and committee members across the country.
