LATINVISION

LatinVision counts two million companies in its directory. The well-organized menu of information opportunities (in the left margin) is predominantly links to some of the companies in the index. But researchers can look around for bits and pieces that will be useful in identifying or qualifying prospective donors in U.S. Hispanic and Latin America. Hispanic Business Blogs is intriguing. One of the most valuable features on the site is the collection of fresh news stories on the home page.

DIVERSITY BUSINESS

International researchers know that wealth often begins in one country and then moves to another. Or wealth grows in the new country but has roots back to the homeland or the philanthropic issues that evolved from those beginnings.

DiversityBusiness offers a variety of superlative lists that can help researchers identify the best potential donors, with links to issues and homelands matching their nonprofits' missions. The "Top 100" lists, from groups including Asian American Owned Businesses, Subcontinent Asian American Owned Businesses, Asian-Pacific American Owned Businesses and Hispanic American Owned Businesses, provide a good starting place. There's a bonus -- the site has an archive of older "Top" lists.

ZONA LATINA

Zona Latina is one of those collections that make you glad some folks are marked with the collector gene. Begin on the home page where you will find categories such as Directories, New, Media & Marketing Articles and a personal favorite, New and Different Media Sites.

Here's an interesting route: Under "Ther Resources" (perhaps a typo of Other Resources?), select Country Information. There you'll find links concentrating on resources in more than 20 Central and South American countries. The search engine list alone is a pot o' gold.
