DANCE FUNDERS ON THE
WEB
Those of you who seek funding for the arts have a thing or
two (really, a thousand) to teach me about resource hunting
on the Internet. I'm looking for a Web site that will give
me all the foundations that arts organizations need. Okay,
stop laughing at me and take a look at this fine collection
of dance funders that DNC has developed from what was first
a Foundation Center list. The really nice part is, that in
addition to hot links, there is a brief explanation of what
you may expect from the foundations.

CONCERT MUSIC FUNDING
DIRECTORY
This brief list of funding resources for concert music may
come in handy for those seeking support for this performing
art. The list includes a few hot links but is primarily
contact information for concert music funders.

ARTS JOURNAL
Doug McLennan, the creator of Arts Journal, spent a few
years as the arts reporter at my hometown newspaper, The
(Tacoma) News Tribune, before he moved to bigger pastures
to the north at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. His newest
venture, a digest of arts news gathered each weekday from
nearly 200 sources, will soon become an essential bookmark
for researchers keeping abreast of funding and other news
in their realm. His site includes a free e-mail headline
service. One of the best features of McLennan's collection
is that it is decidedly international.
