Of what value is a code of ethics for a profession? Michael Davis, in an article that first appeared in Philosophy and Public Affairs, (vol. 20, no. 2) makes the case for a code of ethics for engineers. His arguments are compelling for those in any profession.

ONLINE ETHICS CODES PROJECT
In June 1996 the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) received a grant from the National Science Foundation to put their collection of over 850 codes of ethics on the WWW. It's not up yet, but keep your eye on this site.
