SEC's EDGAR Search for SEC filings, dating from 1994 to 1998 (within 24 hours of filing), in the EDGAR archives. Using OR, AND, NOT or ADJ as connectors, simply enter a company name or part of a name. To limit a search to a proxy statement, add "AND def" to the name search. To broaden your search to find a proxy or amendment, try "name AND (def OR pos am)." [the quotation marks are not needed in your search]. Use your browser's search function to find information within the filing. To find an individual's filings, or if you have trouble finding a company, use the Central Index Key (CIK; see the URL below). http://www.sec.gov/edgarhp.htm

EDGAR Online is a commercial service providing easy access to SEC (Securities & Exchange) filings. Some of the services are free, and there are several levels of value-added subscription services. UPDATE: One of their nifty services for prospecting
In an interview with Tom Voss, chief operating officer, IP learned that it is now possible to search IPO and Insider Filings, in addition to Proxy Statements, by a person's first and last name. Jay Sears, VP of marketing & Business Development, added that by the end of September, quarterly and annual reports will be fully indexed and searchable by an individual's name. Persons mentioned in the above filings can also be retrieved in a list, by company. Data from Proxy Statments will be free to access. Accessing information
from the other documents will require a subscription, for which there will
be a monthly charge.
