HALLMARK

While you're giving and receiving Valentines this month, you may want to check the back of the card to see if it's a Hallmark. If so, as a researcher, your thoughts may turn to . . . the company's charitable giving record.

Hallmark supports organizations only in areas where the company has major operations -- the Kansas City metro area; Lawrence, Leavenworth and Topeka, Kansas; Enfield, Connecticut; Center, Texas; Liberty, Missouri; and Metamora, Illinois.

Hallmark prefers to give funds directly to an organization for programmatic purposes. Cash contributions are provided by both Hallmark Cards and the Hallmark Corporate Foundation.
