SEARS

Sears has different Web sites for its customers in Canada and in the U.S., as well as two different giving programs. In Canada, the Sears Young Futures Fund supports organizations that provide enriching after-school programs. Applications must be received by November 1st and by May 1st.

Qualcomm's areas of community involvement and investment include education, health and human services and arts and culture. San Diego, where its corporate headquarters are located, is the primary geographic funding focus. Funding requests are accepted year-round and its corporate giving committee meets monthly.

GUIDANT

Guidants's corporate foundation gives grants in the areas of education, health care and community services. The foundation's priorities for national giving include fellowships, higher education, patient advocacy and other programs. In addition, it supports local giving and employee programs. Submission deadlines are November 30 and May 30.
