You'll retrieve the address, phone number and, if available, a direct link to the company. This is a good resource when you want to contact similar businesses nationwide or in your local area. If you're trying to estimate what a business is worth in a particular area of the country, you might try this site. States are grouped by region, so scroll down the "Location" list until you find the area or state you need. You'll retrieve a list with links leading to descriptions of the businesses for sale in that region. When you bring up each description, read to the bottom, and you may find a link directly to the company itself! You'll know exactly what's being sold, making it easier to estimate its value. If you want to keep up with trends, practices and commentary in the world of philanthropy, you'll find some good reading here. A new issue appears every month, but articles from earlier issues are available, too. To access archived articles, I find it's easiest to look under Articles by Topic in the left margin (in the tiny orange print). You can search by author or article type, but it's more interesting just to scroll through the topics such as Fundraising, Corporate Giving and Foundations.
