Business "tools" at the site include business forms, tips
for writing a business plan, job listings and a Job
Interview Kit.
This month we are featuring sites that walk and talk (video
and audio), but one of the things I liked best about the
interviews on Women's Wire is the up-front option to read
the transcript.

WOMEN IN BUSINESS
Here's another good "interviews with women" site, small
but growing. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, at 11
minutes before each hour, listen to a two and one-half
minute broadcast featuring profiles of successful business-
women around the world and tips and advice on starting
or expanding a business.
In the archives find links to articles of interest to
researchers, such as "Characteristics of Entrepreneurs"
and "The Growth of Women's Entrepreneurship."
This site, too, makes it easy for us to choose the old-
fashioned silent version. Nice for those of us who don't
have audio capability, or who just prefer quiet time.

BLOOMBERG RADIO
This is a nice general business and financial site that
allows you to juggle other tasks while you listen to live
radio updates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Perfect
for a busy researcher, wouldn't you say?
Broadcasts are accessed under these headings: Financial,
Business (with a closer look at companies making today's
news), World & National, International Business, and the
Morning Show, a one-hour news magazine. (Why "World"
and "International" are in two different categories
isn't clear.)

THE DAILY ROCKET
If you want just a quick piece of business advice, with a
shot of humor, try The Daily Rocket. Some of the catchy
titles of these short pieces are "Nerds With Money" and "Who
is Rich and Who is Really, Really, Rich?" Or, on the other
hand, you may prefer "Broke or Brok-er" and "What is the
Biggest Mistake Investors Make?"
Other topics of interest are "How to use financial
indicators such as the GNP, inflation and interest rates to
predict the stock market" and a chance to learn more about
IPOs.
Initially, I was turned off by the dates on some of the
pieces (a year or more old), but the information seems
to be the classic kind of advice that doesn't age.

TOM PETERS
ON PERSONAL & CORPORATE INNOVATION
Tom Peters, author of "In Search of Excellence," speaks to
the Commonwealth Club of California on why global trends
require increased personal and corporate innovation.
The address was recorded on May 16, 1997, but Peters'
thoughts on innovation are just as relevent today.
