The top companies are identified by minority group, as well as by pay, managerial diversity, for purchasing from minority-owned companies and for charitable giving to programs benefiting minorities. The companies ranking highest in the charitable giving category were Advantica, Freddie Mac, Proctor & Gamble, Verizon and SGI. A new company heads the list of Largest Black Companies, with $802 million in revenues in 2001.
