CONTENTS:

AMERICA'S RICHEST 40 UNDER 40

Our trusty friends at Fortune have compiled another of their excellent lists, this time of the wealthiest self-made Americans under the age of 40. In addition to the usual suspects (Michael Dell tops the list), read about Anousheh Ansari, the "Boldest Newcomer," and one of only two women on the list. Click on Full List to get all the names.

You can also read about those who didn't make the list by being either too old or too poor (all terms being relative) and scan past lists. It's interesting to note that even for those at this cosmic level of wealth, there has been a significant downturn.

Also, you can study Fortune's methodology and sigh, wishing that you had their resources at your fingertips.

ARKANSAS BUSINESS 40 UNDER 40

More young 'uns! Arkansas Business's annual 40 Under 40 listing recognizes business and political leaders who have not yet reached the ripe old age of 40. Not necessarily selected for their wealth, they include physicians, real estate agents, bankers and the Director of the Little Rock Parks and Recreation Department.

The 2000 and the 1999 lists are also available.

FAMILY BUSINESS MAGAZINE

Family Business Magazine, published since 1989, is written for owners and managers of family businesses, but also provides some good information for researchers.

Much of the content is not available without a subscription, but you can click on Media Voices on Family Issues and pick up the latest news on such family dynasties as the Wrigleys and the Johnsons. It has a searchable archive, but non-members have to pay $10 per article for a download.

Also, don't miss the Hall of Fame and the Hall of Shame for the dos and don'ts of running a family business, but be aware ... names are named.
