CONTENTS: The Atlanta Business Chronicle's June issue features 90 Georgians worth collectively $25.3 billion. The listing does not include people with old money, or entertainers or top athletes -- only those with holdings in public companies. You may want to study the comparisons between this year's list and last year's. Only four of those who appeared in last year's top ten made the grade this year. Well-known names on the list include, of course, the ubiquitous Ted Turner and the founders of Home Depot, Bernard Marcus and Arthur Blank. Profiles include estimations of wealth and recent personal data (at least in Turner's case) as well as career histories. http://atlanta.bcentral.com/atlanta/stories/2001/06/11/focus.html A senator, a governor, an activist, a philanthropist, a couple of athletes and a labor leader are among those profiled in the Alaska Journal of Commerce list of the most powerful Alaskans. Not necessarily chosen for their financial status, these are people who have had impact on Alaska and its residents in many ways. One Super Power is noted, as well as five Special Recognitions. Read the profiles and see photos at: http://www.alaskajournal.com/top25/ This is a long page to scroll down (Hello? Are you listening, Web designer?) but the information is worth the trouble if your prospects are in Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick or Prince Edward Island. Brief profiles, a few in-depth profiles and photos are available. The top dogs of iWave and the Moosehead Brewery are among those featured. http://www.atlanticbusinessmagazine.com/top50/top50_2001.htm
