Crain's publications are excellent resources for the areas they cover, and Crain's Chicago Business is certainly no exception. Click on Lists and Directories on the left side of the home page and you will find a wealth of information on the wealthiest Chicagoans. Scroll down to find numerous Who's Who lists in Law, Accounting, Banking, Health Care and more, the 40 Under 40 review, the Internet 100, the Fortunate 100 (highest-paid CEOs) and the Highest-Paid Non-CEOs. Some of these links, like the 40 Under 40, include full profiles. Others, such as The Fortunate 100, are listings of financial data; the Who's Whos are brief listings with photos. If you want to find the top dogs in the Windy City, this should be your first stop.

WHO'S WHO IN CHICAGO MUSIC

From Alternative Rock to Violinists, you will find an extensive listing of prominent musicians from the folks at Centerstage Chicago, listed by genre or alphabetically. In 22 countries around the world, Ernst & Young presents this award to the most successful and innovative entrepreneurial business leaders. The Chicago Public Library has, as you would expect, many excellent resources for researchers. For People searching, the CPL brings us listings of Chicago's Notable African Americans and Chicago Women. Unfortunately, most are historical listings, but there are some profiles of the still-living, including Carol Moseley-Braun and Oprah Winfrey. Profiles are short, but may help get you started.
