Who buys paintings for $104 million? Are some famous and valuable paintings truly lost or are they being held in secret by super-wealthy owners? The person who bought Picasso's Le Garcon a la Pipe for a record-breaking $104 million recently was not revealed, but is thought to be Guido Barilla, chairman of his family's Italian pasta company. Barilla is also thought to have purchased Van Gogh's Dr. Gachet, which has been missing since the death of its 1990 purchaser, Ryoei Saito.
