CONTENTS: This is the Report of Business Magazine's seventh annual selection of Canada's top 40 achievers who have not yet reached the grand old age of 40. A team of business and community leaders ranked nominees for vision and leadership, innovation and achievement, community involvement, impact and strategy for growth. Among the winners is Cindy Burton, the president and chair of iWave, a company that may be familiar to some readers. Brief profiles give the basics; plus, each winner was asked to answer seven questions. The answers are sometimes funny and usually quite revealing. http://www.robmagazine.com/top40.html Goldsea, the self-proclaimed Asian American supersite, is a super site for those researching Asian Americans. Scroll down the left side of the page and look for the link to the Goldsea 100, which lists America's Top 100 Asian Entrepreneurs. You will have to scroll through pages arranged by ratings in groups of ten; click on the name for more information. For the top ten names you will see articles with interviews and biographical information. Unfortunately, beyond those ten, the information pages are under construction. We can hope that "under construction" means that more will be forthcoming. Click on Profiles for a page that links to articles on actors, billionaires, athletes, entrepreneurs and many miscellaneous others. Back to the home page, click on Wonder Women for links to articles on Asian American women who have succeeded on Wall Street, Washington, DC, and everywhere in between. You may want to ignore the comments on the right side of the page, which are sent in by readers and may or may not be accurate. On the home page again, a few links down from the Goldsea 100 is the link to the Top Professionals page. Click on a name to read a profile. Again, see the caveat to the comments section above. This site has so much to offer those who are researching Asian Americans. Go and explore! The White House Correspondents' Association annually bestows the Merriman Smith Memorial Awards, the Aldo Beckman Awards and the Edgar Allen Poe Awards for excellence in journalism. Winners of these awards from 1990 to 2001 are listed; from 1999 on, the site provides links to the winning articles and brief biographical information on the winners. http://www.medill.nwu.edu/whca/2001win.html
