NATIONWIDE GRAVESITE LOCATOR

The Department of Veterans' Affairs National Cemetery Administration provides this Web site to help you determine where a veteran is buried (if buried in a VA National Cemetery). Enter Last Name and First Name (or at least the beginning of the names if you're not sure) or click on Advanced Search Options where you can add Middle Name, Date of Birth, Date of Death or the name of the cemetery. You can enter only the year if you do not know the complete date.

Results vary -- most give each veteran's rank and date of birth. Spouse name is given for a non-veteran who is buried with a veteran spouse. All listings provide date of death and the location of the grave, including the cemetery's address and a link to its Web site.

If you're still stumped, you can find instructions on how you can send in a written request.

The Economics section explores and ranks the richest and most expensive cities. You might want to know, for example, that London is the most expensive city in the world due to high rents. If you don't count rents, Oslo, Copenhagen, Tokyo and Zurich are among the most costly cities. Net income is highest in Swiss cities while gross earnings are highest in Scandinavia. Workers in Zurich, Copenhagen and Oslo earn two to three times as much per hour as the average of all the cities in the survey. Hourly pay is lowest in Mumbai, Karachi, Nairobi, Lagos and Manila.
