    THE STANDARD

The Industry Standard provides intelligence for the Internet community. Covering the people, companies and business models shaping the new Internet economy, it is aimed toward senior-level executives, but researchers will find a wealth of good information here.

Click on the cover story, The Net 21, to find profiles of 21 influential Internet leaders, including Jeff Bezos and Steve Jobs.

Along the left margin are more tantalizing links. Click on New Gig to find out who is moving where. Click on The Network to read profiles of Internet economy architects. You can browse alphabetically or search by person or company name. The profiles include useful information such as career history and board memberships. You can even keep track of which profiles were accessed the most, if you want to know who's hot.

From either New Gig or The Network, click on Rich List for news on "job gossip."

    NWFBO STUDY

According to this article from Philanthropy News Digest, a study conducted by the National Foundation for Women Business Owners and funded by Merrill Lynch found that successful women are likely to be generous givers.

Their main interests include educational reform, women- related causes and arts groups.

However, if you're involved in solicitation strategies, you may want to note that most of the women surveyed reported that they were put off by the ways in which they were asked to give.
