The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) recognizes individuals in the field with several awards, including a Distinguished Service Award, a Doctoral Dissertation Award, an Outstanding Contribution to ACM Award and others. Note to PC World: A name search would come in handy. But we do appreciate this collection of the top 62 names in the Web biz. If you are interested in finding out who is shaping your online experience and don't mind some serendipitous scrolling, look for the drop-down box in the middle of the page and choose a range (Important People 1 through 5, 6 through 10, and so on). Profiles are brief and most include photos. http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,129301-page,1/article.html
