CONTENTS: If you're looking for wheelers and dealers in the high-tech or life sciences arenas, you will want to take a look at Forbes' Midas List. Some of the names you were following last year may have disappeared from the rankings due to economic setbacks. The Midas List looks for venture capitalists and focuses on the market capitalization of a company on the close of its first day of trading (or an acquisition's purchase price). For more information on methodology, click on the hyperlinked word More at the end of the first paragraph on the front page. Like other Forbes rankings, you can sort in various ways: by name, rank, title or company or you can click directly on the names listed under The Top Ten to see a profile of each dealmaker. (Methodology notes are also provided at the bottom of each profile page.) View a slideshow on Tech's Top Five Dealmakers or Tech's Richest Dealmakers or scroll down for more profiles and features. http://www.forbes.com/2006/01/24/technology-dealmakers_06midas_land.html Electronic Business Online named as its 2005 CEO of the Year Hector Ruiz, who became CEO of Advanced Micro Devices in 2002.
