| CONTENTS: Boston Magazine's Top Docs page includes compelling stories of professionals working to fight cancer, Alzheimer's, spinal cord injuries and heart disease. The Top Docs are listed by specialty and the information provided includes only name and hospital. If you're looking for a particular physician by name, be grateful for your browser's "Find" feature. http://www.bostonmagazine.com/content.php?name=topdocs.txt Boston Magazine also features an article on "Power: Who's Got It And Why." If that's not a headline to spark interest, I don't know what is. In the past, the editors struggled to assign some kind of objective formula to the quality of power: Clout + Influence = Power. This year, though, they went with their gut feelings. Take a look and see if you agree with their insights. The list is divided into such categories as politics, finance, philanthropy, education and the arts. http://www.bostonmagazine.com/content.php?name=power.txt Philadelphia Magazine also features a search for top doctors in its database. A list is not provided; however you can enter parameters including last name, year (1999-2002), hospital, specialty or subspecialty. http://www.phillymag.com/topdocs/ This Web site does not provide information of its own. t is a collection of links to online physician-finding resources. I'm not sure why the home page directory is broken down by state, because the Web sites that are referenced are not state-specific. The links include Web sites such as AMA Physician Select and DocFind, where you can search for a doctor in any state. A breakdown by specialty would be more helpful; however you can use your browser's "Find" feature or simply scroll through the listing to find a Web site that will help you find the doctor, specialist or alternative practitioner you are researching. Also, I'm not sure why the phrase "Find a Physician" seems to be rephrased and translated into "Find a Doctor" throughout.
